Using computers
to attract teens

Alex, a 10th grader who is home-schooled, is no stranger to the library. He uses its resources to research reports and other projects. But this 15-year-old, whose mom is a library staffer, puts in so much time at the library playing video games that people refer to one of the computers as “Alex’s computer.” While his favorite is a medieval game called “Age of Empires,” Alex also likes to read books about medieval history, as well as spy and war books.
