Whiling away the hours

17-year-old Clifford says one of his favorite pastimes is finding a chair in the library and reading until he completely loses track of time. “I’d like to be a night watchman at a library so I could just sit in a chair and read until early in the morning,” he dreams. History is his favorite subject and is also his planned major when he starts college next year. This 12th grader even participates in an online discussion board about the Civil War.
